The EU SME Centre and the European Chamber, together with the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (CASME), are pleased to invite you to our upcoming Working Group meeting, where Ms Chen Jing, Vice President of CASME, will present the latest SME Development Index, the support measures available to EU SMEs in China and the SME business prospects in 2023. The meeting will be conducted in Chinese, and English interpretation will be made available.

This meeting is free of charge and open to all small and medium-sized enterprises from European Union Member States and countries participating in the Single Market Programme.

About the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (CASME)
The China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (CASME) was approved and established by the National Development and Reform Commission in December 2006. It is a non-profit social team voluntarily formed by SMEs and large enterprises that support the development of SMEs as well as famous experts and scholars. There are 220 000 members in the group. Awarded as the first batch of “National Public Service Demonstration Platforms for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises” by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, CASME takes the lead in establishing the secretary-general contact conference system, and its member units are composed of 287 provincial, municipal, regional, economic and information commissions and authority in charging of small and medium-sized enterprises. CASME participated in the drafting and revision of the SME Promotion Law, jointly published the China Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Blue Book with the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, releases the “SME Development Index” quarterly, and issues collective bonds for small and medium-sized enterprises and credit enhancement bonds jointly with local governments.

Master of International Business Management, UK. She has worked in two Fortune 500 companies in important positions. She has served as an expert judge for many projects such as the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s Small and Medium Enterprises, the integration of industry and education, the Ministry of Education’s Chunhui Cup China Scholar Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the Ministry of Finance’s performance evaluation. She has been appointed by several local governments and internationally renowned management consulting firms as a consultant for SME financial reform and digital transformation.

She has served in the Association for 15 years since its inception, organised more than 200 domestic and international large-scale enterprise forums and exhibitions supported by various ministries and local governments, established strategic cooperation with more than 1,000 Fortune 500 and industry-leading enterprises and institutions, and created innovative service solutions such as pure credit and unsecured credit products, enterprise innovation and upgrading ground support project (demonstration case of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), and listing counselling for high-tech enterprises. She has led the establishment of the first one-stop enterprise service cloud platform in China, providing a series of comprehensive services such as investment and financing, digital transformation, international cooperation, intellectual property operation, technology introduction, qualification recognition and legal protection for 70,000 national high-tech enterprises and specialised SMEs across China.
