The EU SME Centre is delighted to invite you to join the 5th Annual High- Level Dialogue conference of the China Europe Water Platform and the business matchmaking event, which will take place in Turku, Finland, on 21 and 22 September 2017.

About the Conference

The 2017 China Europe Water Platform (CEWP) Annual High-Level Dialogue Conference and High-level Business Conference will be held in Turku, Finland, on 21 and 22 September 2017. During the high-level part of the conference, the ministers are invited to discuss the future development of the CEWP towards a strategic partnership between China and EU to promote water security and green development in China, EU and beyond.

Objectives of the Conference

The discussion is envisaged to lead to a joint declaration that will guide the future activities of the CEWP. The discussion will include issues such as:

• lessons learned and future perspectives on the role of water in green development and circular economy in China and Europe
• implementation of water-related 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including the role of business cooperation and the financial organizations in their implementation of water related SDG goals
• promotion of coherent policies and measures, including improved legislation, integrated management, research and development, water savings and economic instruments such as water pricing

After the Business Matchmaking

Focus of the Business Event

Participants of the Business Event include 40–50 private and state owned companies from China, mainly interested in:

1 Water measuring and water efficiency solutions;

2 Smart city solutions: water quality, treatment and urban water management etc;

3 Hydraulic infrastructure construction, including dam safety.

Reasons to participate in the Business Event
