EU SME Centre Meeting with Director-General for DG GROW Kerstin Jorna

On 22 February, the EU SME Centre hosted a meeting in its office in Beijing with Kerstin Jorna, Director General of DG for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW), with her team and representatives from the IP SME Helpdesk, European SMEs and IP experts. The meeting took place in the context of the Director General’s visit to China and ahead of her exchange with Vice Minister of MIIT Xin Guobin for the annual EU-China Industrial Policy Dialogue.

Representatives from the Centre and the Helpdesk provided an overview of their respective projects. SME managers and IP experts shared their experiences operating in the Chinese market, including challenges, opportunities and potential areas for engagement between the EU and China in terms of SME policies and best practices.
