Become a Contributing Expert to EU SME Centre Activities on China Market Knowledge

15 September 2025

The EU SME Centre is inviting experienced specialists to join its roster of external experts and contribute to upcoming trainings and conferences held online and across Europe.

If you have proven knowledge of market access, regulatory changes, and other key aspects of doing business in China, get in touch with us to advise European SMEs as they enter and operate in the Chinese market.

Topics of interest

We are looking for contributors with documented expertise in one or more of the following key areas:

  • China market access: Practical overviews tailored to European SMEs with up-to-date information on regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Industry-specific knowledge: F&B exports to China, GACC registration with the CIFER system, green industries, cosmetics, and other sectors.
  • E-commerce: selling goods online on China’s cross-border e-commerce platforms, brand building and digital marketing for the Chinese market.
  • Market trends and opportunities: insights into evolving consumer demand and emerging opportunities for European SMEs in the Chinese market.
  • Risk mitigation and best practices: drafting robust and applicable contracts, conducting due diligence, and negotiating with potential partners.

Experts may also suggest additional relevant topics that would benefit European SMEs.

How to apply

Interested applicants should email the EU SME Centre’s EU Partnerships Manager Davide Orlandi at davide.orlandi@eusmecentre.org.cn, with:

  • A brief biography highlighting relevant professional experience and achievements;
  • Evidence of expertise: publications, project references, and other supporting documentation;
  • A quotation for contributions, indicating availability and expected fees for events to be held online, and to be held in person in European cities. The quotation should include the expert’s fee for a standard 90-minute session, which generally includes a keynote presentation and a Q&A with the audience.

Each application will be evaluated based on these elements. Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted when an activity pertaining to their field of expertise is being planned by the EU SME Centre.
