The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China and the EU SME Centre are pleased to present a white paper on the topic of Swedish and European Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in China. This white paper aims to support Swedish and European SMEs that are looking to enter the Chinese market, or to expand and upgrade their operations in China.

To reach this goal, we have interviewed five expert organisations or companies with deep knowledge on China, as well as five renowned Swedish SMEs that have succeeded in establishing themselves in the Chinese market. This white paper touches upon multiple topics such as the attractiveness of the Chinese market, legal risks, market entry requirements, access to financing, IP issues, and so on. We hope that this white paper will provide valuable and interesting reading for anyone interested in the Chinese market, and that it can be useful and inspiring for those SMEs that are currently navigating China.
