The Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys (PIRP) is the statutory professional self-government organisation representing all patent and trademark attorneys and trainee patent and trademark attorneys in Poland. PIRP cooperates with public institutions, professional self-governments, universities, research and innovation communities, entrepreneurs, business organisations and international partners. Its activities support the role of patent and trademark attorneys as trusted professional advisers to businesses, creators, universities, research institutes and other entities seeking effective protection and management of intellectual property assets. The organisation is also actively involved in organising professional training, workshops, expert meetings and networking events.
Polish patent and trademark attorneys provide specialist advice and representation in matters involving patents, trademarks, industrial designs and other intellectual property rights, including proceedings before the Polish Patent Office and relevant European and international intellectual property institutions, in particular the European Patent Office (EPO), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and international systems administered by WIPO, including the PCT, the Madrid System and the Hague System.
