The EU SME Centre and the European Chamber, in partnership with the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), will co-host a series of dedicated sessions for European businesses during the 19th Europe-China Fair, taking place in Chengdu, Sichuan, from 21 to 23 October 2026. These sessions will include Linking Europe, a dialogue with government representatives from Sichuan, and B2B matchmaking sessions, among other business activities.
We are pleased to invite European SMEs to join the sessions below. These activities are designed to provide opportunities to exchange insights on the Southwest China market, engage directly with municipal and provincial government representatives, and match with Chinese companies and potential business partners in relevant industries.
Programme
Wednesday 21 October
09:30–11:00 | Linking Europe & Government Dialogue with Sichuan Provincial Government
The EU SME Centre and the European Chamber warmly invite European businesses operating in, or considering investment in Sichuan, to join this government dialogue.
The session will include presentations from government representatives on the business environment and SME policies, as well as industry insights from company representatives. A Q&A session will provide participants with an opportunity to raise questions directly with the relevant authorities.
If you have specific questions for a particular government department, please submit them through the registration form and indicate relevant departments, where applicable. We will share the questions with the relevant authorities ahead of the meeting.
15:30–17:30 | B2B Matchmaking Session I
This dedicated matchmaking session will provide European companies with the opportunity to meet face-to-face with Chinese companies in relevant industries.
Participants may include leading Chinese companies, high- and new-technology enterprises, and specialised “Little Giant” companies. Matchmaking will be arranged based on participants’ business interests and areas of cooperation.
18:30–20:00 | Closed-Door Dinner with Government Representatives
An informal, closed-door dinner providing European businesses with an opportunity to exchange views with government representatives and discuss issues of interest in a more informal setting.
Thursday 22 October
09:30–12:00 | Opening Ceremony & All-Participant Meeting
The opening session will feature remarks from the event organisers, as well as representatives of Chinese and European governments and other participating institutions.
15:00–17:30 | B2B Matchmaking Session II
A second dedicated matchmaking session for European companies to connect with potential Chinese business partners and explore opportunities for cooperation.
18:00–20:00 | Dinner with Key Industry Representatives
An evening networking dinner bringing together European businesses and representatives from key industries for further exchange and business networking.
Friday 23 October
Company Visit Tour
European SMEs are warmly invited to participate in a company visit tour organised by the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC).

Registration & Eligibility
The EU SME Centre sessions at the Europe-China Fair are open to EU SME Centre stakeholders, including European SMEs, embassies and consulates, trade promotion organisations (TPOs), and other relevant stakeholders.
If you would like to participate, please register here and provide:
- your company or organisation information;
- any questions you would like to raise with the Sichuan government;
- your areas of interest for B2B matchmaking; and
- a contact email address.
Our team may contact you after registration to clarify your requirements and follow up on matchmaking arrangements where necessary.
Participation & Support
All EU SME Centre sessions are free of charge.
The organisers will cover:
- transportation between the airport and hotel, and between the hotel and event venue;
- meals included in the programme; and
- for companies travelling from Europe, accommodation from 20–23 October 2026, for a maximum of three nights and two participants per company.
