On 28 September 2025, the European Chamber co-organised the Low Carbon Policy Update in the Greater Bay Area and Product Carbon Footprint Certification Conference with the Shenzhen Administration for Market Regulation.
Mr. Lin Kangyu, Deputy Director of the Metrology and Certification Division of Shenzhen Administration for Market Regulation, delivered welcome remarks. The technical session featured in-depth presentations from policy and industry experts, covering topics such as the Product Carbon Footprint Label Certification policy, the public service platform for carbon footprint certification, and updates on EU sustainable development regulations relevant to EU SMEs operating in China.
The conference was hosted by Ms. Cindy Wang, Chair of the Chamber’s South China Standards and Conformity Assessment (SCA) Forum, with Ms. Esther Yao, Vice Chair of the Forum, also in attendance. The event attracted numerous enterprises engaged in green transition and low-carbon innovation, and provided EU SMEs with practical insights on regulatory compliance, certification processes, and opportunities for cooperation in the GBA’s sustainability agenda.
This activity brought the participation of leading European SMEs engaged in green transition and low-carbon development, enhancing their understanding of China’s low-carbon regulatory landscape and facilitating exchanges that promote sustainable business collaboration between European and Chinese companies.
