On 15 September 2025, Fabian Blake, Vice President of the European Chamber and Chairman of the South China Chapter, attended the Third Business Conference on Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Development.
Mr. Blake participated in the VIP reception, where he met and exchanged views with Mr. Jiang Xinzhi, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee; Mr. Huang Kunming, Party Secretary of Guangdong Province; Mr. Wang Weizhong, Governor of Guangdong Province; and Mr. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of CCPIT. The Chief Executives of the Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR also delivered video addresses at the plenary session.
The conference announced the establishment of the Greater Bay Area Exhibition Industry Alliance and released two major outcomes — the Greater Bay Area Supply Chain Promotion Report and the Interim Arbitration Guide of the Guangdong Free Trade Zone.
Through this high-level participation, the European Chamber helped enhance the visibility of European SMEs within the GBA policy dialogue, supporting their understanding of regional economic priorities, cross-border cooperation frameworks, and supply chain opportunities. The event also strengthened institutional channels between the Chamber and key government bodies, enabling more effective advocacy on behalf of EU SMEs and facilitating their integration into China’s evolving development paradigm.
