Advocacy Actions: European Chamber Meets Panyu Representatives in Guangzhou

On 11 October, European Chamber South China Chapter Board Members Christian Gassner and Rita Gimenez attended the 2025 Panyu District Investment Promotion Event in Guangzhou.

They met with Mr. Huang Biao, Panyu District Party Secretary, and joined Mr. Shao Jingbo, Deputy Director-General of Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau, and Mr. Chen Xiaohua, Mayor of Panyu District. By facilitating these exchanges, the European Chamber provided EU SMEs with a platform to gain first-hand insights into Panyu’s strategic advantages and policy priorities.

In their remarks, Mr. Shao underscored Guangzhou’s commitment to building a modern industrial system under the GBA and International Consumption Center initiatives. Mr. Huang highlighted Panyu’s robust industrial base and dynamic innovation ecosystem, presenting it as an ideal investment destination. Mr. Chen pointed to Panyu’s strategic location and strong growth potential as it evolves into a GBA core hub, extending a warm welcome to global enterprises, including EU SMEs, to seize emerging opportunities.
