On 8 December, Lynn Wu, Business & Government Affairs Manager, and Mo Jingqian, Events Manager of the European Chamber South China Chapter, met with Ms. Chen Donglian, Director, and Ms. Mou Li, Deputy Director of the International Exchange Division of the Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau.
Lynn explained that the Chamber’s strategic positioning in China centres on representing member companies, including both large enterprises and EU SMEs, and creating conditions for their sustained growth. The Chamber amplifies their voices by facilitating policy dialogue, sharing insights, and building engagement platforms that connect them with local stakeholders. These measures help EU SMEs stay informed, have their concerns heard, and be better equipped to navigate local dynamic market.
Ms. Chen and Ms. Mou underscored the Bureau’s key role in promoting foreign investment and trade, noting the importance of EU SMEs to local industrial base. They outlined plans to deepen ties with the Chamber, strengthen cross-industry links, and advance initiatives under the new quality productive forces framework. In 2026, the Bureau will continue its policy briefings and launch new dialogue mechanisms to boost domestic-foreign enterprise exchanges, offering EU SMEs timely policy insights, expanded networks, and a more supportive environment for high-quality investment.
