Advocacy Actions: European Chamber at 2025 Shenzhen Global Investment Promotion Conference

9 December 2025

On 5 December, Vice President of European Chamber South China Chapter Ms. Joanna Ye led a delegation of member companies to attend the Shenzhen 2025 Global Investment Conference.

The event was attended by senior municipal leaders, including Mr. Meng Fanli, Governor of Guangdong Province, Secretary of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee, and Mr. Qin Weizhong, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Shenzhen, who demonstrated the city’s strong commitment to global investment promotion.

The conference reviewed Shenzhen’s investment performance in 2025 and presented the outlook for 2026 across strategic sectors such as AI, robotics, biopharmaceuticals, new energy, finance, culture tourism and marine economy. This event helped EU SMEs gain clearer understanding of current policies, future priorities and market developments. It arranged opportunities for SMEs to engage directly with industry leaders and potential partners, enabling them to build valuable local networks to benefit from timely policy insights and stronger business connections in Shenzhen’s fast evolving market.
