On 8 November, Klaus Zenkel and Christian Gassner, Board Members of European Chamber South China Chapter, and Daisy Yang, Chair of European Chamber SME Forum, attended the 2nd Foshan European Enterprise Day Exchange Meeting.
During the meeting, Mr. Zhang Bing, Vice Chairman of the Foshan CPPCC, emphasised Foshan’s position as a key industrial hub committed to openness, innovation, and international cooperation. He welcomed more European enterprises, especially SMEs, to invest in Foshan and share the opportunities arising from the GBA’s dynamic development. Mr. Zenkel reaffirmed the Chamber’s mission to serve as a vital bridge between European SMEs and Chinese policymakers, helping SMEs better integrate into China’s evolving business environment.
The Chamber delegation also engaged in productive exchanges with officials from the Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone, the Foshan Foreign Affairs Office, the Bureau of Commerce, and the Investment Promotion Bureau, as well as a government and business delegation from Ingolstadt, Germany, exploring opportunities for future collaboration in industrial innovation and SME cooperation.
