The EU SME Centre Brings Support to Latvian Business Delegation in China

On Monday 22 January 2024, the EU SME Centre met in Beijing with representatives from the delegation of entrepreneurs from Latvia to China led by the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – LCCI and the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia to China.

Before the delegation set off to China, EU SME Centre Business Advisor Alessio Petino and EU Partnerships Manager Davide Orlandi organised an online briefing seminar. The delegation was provided with an overview of the Chinese market, touching upon current issues such as market access, measures to attract foreign investment in China, and advice when meeting potential partners.

On the last day of the delegation’s tour, Mr Aigars Rostovskis, President of LCCI – Latvijas Tirdzniecības un rūpniecības kamera, Ms Natalija Juškova, LCCI Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs, and Mr Egils Leimanis, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in China, met with EU SME Centre Team Lead Liam Jia, Advocacy Manager Ester Cañada Amela, and Communications & Visibility Manager Nelly Alix, to exchange information, feedback, and business sentiment from Latvian entrepreneurs in various industries.
