According to the 14th Five-Year Plan of Shanghai, five new cities, including Jiading, Qingpu, Songjiang, Fengxian, and Nanhui, will be constructed as independent comprehensive nodal cities. The scope of the Jiading New Area in this plan has also been greatly expanded. The Jiading New Area will focus on developing five areas: Yuanxiang Lake Central Activity Area, East Industrial and Urban Integration Development Launch Area, Jiading Old Town Historical Area, North Science and Technology Station, and Hengli River Cultural Water Vine.

This time, we hope to take the Jiading New Area as a chance to explore what opportunities exist for Chinese and European experts and companies in the field of built environment to cooperate with each other in the construction of the new town, in opportunities for urban renewal, or in the planning of historic areas. Our roundtable discussion will also focus on bringing the views of experts from different fields together and hopefully inspire new thoughts and insights for you.
