As a vital gateway between China and international markets, the Greater Bay Area (GBA) offers substantial opportunities for European SMEs, especially those in professional services, goods trade, food and beverage, and innovative sectors. In today’s complex global economy, the GBA provides significant policy support and market expansion opportunities for EU SMEs. However, businesses still face challenges in understanding policies, accessing the market, and leveraging innovation resources.

This event, organised by the EU SME Centre, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China and the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, is designed as a platform for policy and business information sharing, as well as to foster networking opportunities for European SMEs. The discussions will help participants to gain a clearer understanding of the policy landscape for 2024, explore business performance and operational environment in the GBA, and learn about new technologies (AI, cloud computing, blockchain, and IoT) that can contribute to optimising business processes and operational efficiency. Additionally, we will look into emerging strategies and business directions for 2025, offering forward-looking insights for EU SMEs.

After keynote presentations and a panel discussion, participants will be invited to build connections that foster collaboration during a lunch exchange.
