The Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission is organizing a delegation of foreign companies to Manzhouli, Inner Mongolia to participate in the China (Manzhouli) North International Science and Technology Expo from July 2-4, 2017. This exhibition is organized by the governments of China, Russia and Mongolia and has facilitated commerce between the three jurisdictions for the past 13 years. Since 2004, the Expo has attracted 10,450 businesses and exhibitors, more than 30,000 exhibits, and more than 430,000 visitors and clients. Over a thousand contracts and agreements have been signed, totaling more than 39 billion RMB.
About Manzhouli
Manzhouli is China’s largest in-land port, accounting for 60 per cent of all exports to Eastern Europe. In 2016, rail traffic alone increased by 88 per cent, year on year, transporting goods totaling 3.6 billion USD. In line with China’s One Belt One Road mandate, Manzhouli has taken on added significance, positioning itself as a vital pathway within China’s network of globalized cities.
