A few years ago, Josu Garcia, the general manager of Taste Spain began dabbling in wine distribution in China with a few partners. They started with a small distribution network, and, after only a year or two the distribution partners were demanding more and more goods from them, so they decided that it was time to set up properly and expand. Today, Taste Spain specialises in exporting and distributing Spanish agricultural goods and foodstuffs in China.

Josu started his adventure in China with the creation of MPC Group Beijing which was set up in 2007. Due to the success of this first company and through his network he decided to open Taste Spain with Carlos Chordi, a person with many years of experience in the food industry in China; Taste Spain was then established in 2009. Both companies are Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprises (WFOE), the former with the business scope of wine and foodstuff import, export and wholesale while the latter covers retail which it carries out from its shop in Sanlitun, Beijing. Both companies work closely together and trade under the name „Taste Spain‟.
