Advocacy News: Meeting with Luohu District Investment Promotion Bureau

On 19 March 2026, Angel Zhang, General Manager of the European Chamber South China Chapter, and Tong Wu, Business and Government Affairs Coordinator, met a delegation led by Zheng Zehai, Deputy Director General of the Luohu District Investment Promotion Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, and Chen Hong, Deputy Secretary General of the Shenzhen Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment.

Mr. Zheng introduced Luohu’s strengths in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, as well as in safety, energy conservation, environmental protection and aerospace technology, alongside tailored support for SMEs in these sectors. He also presented some implemented investment cases.

The Chamber discussed the key concerns and focus industries of its member companies, including small and medium-sized businesses. The discussions covered topics such as the investment focus of European enterprises exploring opportunities in China, the types of businesses showing interest and how SMEs can leverage their core strengths to develop innovative service models.
