On 6 February 2026, a government delegation from Zhuhai visited the European Chamber Shenzhen office, to explore potential collaborative opportunities between Zhuhai and European businesses.
Feng Shengsheng, Director General of the Zhuhai Foreign Affairs Bureau (FAO), Zhang Ting, Deputy Director General of the Zhuhai FAO, Zhang Wenya, Deputy Director General of the Zhuhai Commerce Bureau, and Wei Qiming, Deputy Director General of the Zhuhai CCPIT, delivered a joint presentation on Zhuhai’s strategic initiatives for its key industry sectors, including its core industrial strengths, foreign investment layout and supporting infrastructure. In addition, they provided information on the major government dialogues and conferences hosted in Zhuhai, and expressed their willingness to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism with key business associations, including the European Chamber.
Angel Zhang, General Manager of the European Chamber’s South China Chapter, highlighted the strong alignment between Zhuhai’s key sectors and the strategic interests of European SMEs in South China. Both parties reached a consensus on the direction of future cooperation and the format of collaborative activities.
Also in attendance were representatives from Zhuhai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Zhuhai Convention and Exhibition Bureau.
