10 Chinese Provinces to Start Agricultural E-commerce Pilot Plans

China accelerates its supply-side reform in agricultural sector by introducing E-commerce pilot plans in 10 Chinese provinces or municipalities including Beijing, Hebei, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Hunan, Guangdong, Hainan, Chongqing and Ningxia.

Three aspects in agricultural sector are identified as primary focuses of the Pilot Plan:

  • Beijing, Hebei, Jilin, Hunan, Guangdong, Chongqing and Ningxia on agricultural fresh products;
  • Jilin, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu and Hunan on agricultural materials – seeds, machines and tools;
  • Beijing and Hainan on travel and leisure service.
