The EU SME Centre Signs an MoU with the Netherlands Innovation Centre

28 February 2023

The representatives of the EU SME Centre and the Netherlands Innovation Centre (NIC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), thus formally committing to working together and creating synergies. This new partnership agreement signed with a Netherlands-based business support organisation will enhance the outreach capacity and value-added activities provided to European SMEs looking to do business in China.

The EU SME Centre is devoted to sharing its knowledge on China-related matters to build the capacity of Dutch companies interested in entering the Chinese market. Joint activities to be designed and implemented under this cooperation may include training sessions, expert speakers at conferences, shared research, one-to-one consultation services, as well as support in online or offline business missions and matchmaking events.

The Centre is looking forward to the future cooperation with NIC and we welcome the opportunity to further support Dutch SMEs’ interests and contribute to the common goal of supporting their growth.

Business support organisations and trade promotion organisations from Member States of the European Union and Single Market Programme-participating countries with member companies interested in the Chinese market are welcome to contact our Partnership Coordinator to obtain further information about partnerships and collaborations. The EU SME Centre offers a wide range of free services to partners and affiliated SMEs to improve their readiness to the market in China. Find out more about becoming a partner of the Centre here.

About the EU SME Centre

Created in 2010, the EU SME Centre is an initiative funded by the European Union to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from EU Member States and countries participating in the Single Market Programme, getting them ready to do business in China. The Centre helps facilitate market access and provides a comprehensive range of first-line, hands-on, free services to inform, advise, train, and connect European SMEs.

The EU SME Centre is in Phase IV (July 2022 – June 2025) implemented by four consortium partners — the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, Italy-China Council Foundation, Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação — and two associated partners, Trade Promotion Europe and EU-China Business Association.
