The Slovak Business Agency (SBA) is currently the key and oldest specialized institution in the Slovak Republic in terms of supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It was established in 1993 as a joint initiative of the EU and the Slovak government. It is a unique public and private sector platform.
SBA has created National Entrepreneurship Centers (NPC) within Slovakia, the main goal of which is to implement the concept of a single place of the “one-stop-shop” type, providing a wide portfolio of information and additional services under one roof, especially for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs. The intention is to support the creation and development of new businesses and to motivate natural persons to enter into business.
