19 April 2017, Beijing – EU SME Centre Business Development Advisor Rafael Jimenez presented at the opening ceremony of the Internet of Things (IoT) Dialogue, organised by Beijing Changfeng Information Technology Industry Alliance and Z-park Committee. The event provided updates on relevant regulations in China, discussed their potential impacts on European businesses and launched a training course on IoT.
At the ceremony, Rafael introduced the role of EU SMEs in IoT, informed the expected size of IoT business in the EU and potential areas for cooperation between EU and Chinese businesses.
“The EU calculates the market of Internet of Things in the region will be above one trillion euros in 2020, just four years from now”, said Rafael in the speech.
He also shared the key areas of interests established by the EU in IoT, such as new interfaces, artificial intelligence, smart agriculture, advanced sensors and smart cities.
Ms. Song Jingjing, Secretary General of Beijing Changfeng Information Technology Industry Alliance hosted the opening ceremony. She also shared the latest policies and set-up process for foreign-invested enterprises in the Z-park.
Mr.Xiaodong Zeng, Deputy Director-General of Z-park Committee, gave a detailed introduction to the IoT training course.
Mr. Thomas Vial, Director of Department TSA of Business France at French Embassy, presented on commercial potentials of high-tech sector in France and welcomed Chinese enterprises to enter the French market.
