Entry into China Waste-to-Energy Market

  • Type :Webinar
  • Date :Jul 17, All day, 2017
  • Venue :Online

China’s waste-to-energy market (WTE) sector has been growing fast, presenting good business opportunities for European SMEs. For example, its urban waste market is expected to gain investment with a total number of EUR 32.71 billion between 2016 and 2020. Increasing market opportunities for SMEs are also shown in the areas of professional advisory services and front and back-end technologies. However, challenges remained in this sector for SMEs include lacking public awareness and how to manage relationships with key stakeholders.

This webinar will provide you with an overall picture of China’s WTE market, explain the domestic regulatory framework that formulates the key relevant laws and regulations at national, provincial and city levels and examine financial incentives in details. It will also introduce a few major technologies used in the market, including the incineration, gasification & pyrolysis and anaerobic digestion. As the WTE projects provide large scale public utility service, they often require high financial support.

You will also learn about the major domestic and international market players from State-owned companies, private and international companies, such as China Energy Conservation, Beijing Enterprise and Shanghai Environment Group, Veolia and Golden State Environment Protection Group. Most importantly, key opportunities, challenges and recommendations for EU SMEs will be given.
