China's healthcare market is growing like no other. The country wants to invest around EUR 36 billion in the sector until 2020 to improve overall healthcare for its citizens, a move that is urgently needed to alleviate the often dire situation of millions resulting from the elimination of many state-sponsored healthcare and pension benefits since the 1990s.
Whereas ten years ago around 80% of Chinese did not have health insurance, coverage is close to universal today. With further opening up of the sector to foreign investment, demand for high-quality products and services offered by European SMEs will rise quickly, driven mainly by a growing middle class looking for treatment on a par with Western standards.
Watch this webinar to receive information on:
- Market overview featuring information on market size, structure and sub-sectors of China’s healthcare industry;
- Growth drivers and trends in key sub-sectors;
- The regulatory framework;
- Opportunities and challenges for EU SMEs; as well as
- Other information such as exhibitions, industry associations and other useful links relevant to healthcare.
