IPR protection
Since joining the World Trade Organisation (WTO), China has strengthened its legal framework and amended its Intellectual Property (IP) laws and regulations to comply with the WTO Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS). However Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) infringement in China—including violations of copyrights, trademarks, patents, and trade secrets - is still on every company’s shortlist of concerns.
The China IPR SME Helpdesk supports EU SMEs to both protect and enforce their Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in, or relating to, China, through the provision of free information and services: http://www.china-iprhelpdesk.eu/
