Adira is a Portuguese machinery company based in Porto, Portugal. During the 1980’s and 1990’s, Adira exported conventional sheet metal working machinery to China through Hong Kong. Today, Adira mainly focuses on providing high-tech solutions for sheet metal companies in China, and the company looks forward to an increase of business in the Chinese market.

Adira was established in 1956 in Portugal by António Dias Ramos. The company produces machines for sheet metal processing. Today, Adira has access to more than 40 active markets around the world with around 150 employees, among which 30% have a university degree. Adira designs, develops, manufactures and installs state-of-the-art machines.

The company has been active in many Western markets, with more than 5,000 machines installed in the US, a good market share in Northern and Central Europe, and recently intensifying influence in South America. Strategically, Adira is willing to expand its business in Asian markets.
